A cable monitor that watches an electric floor heating cable while it is being laid and sounds an alarm the moment it is damaged. That lets the installer repair it before the floor goes down, rather than finding out once everything is tiled or poured. It is a recent addition and one of our most popular, at a fraction of what a tester like this cost ten years ago.

About the Cable installation monitor
Our cable monitor (Screamer) constantly monitors your electric floor heating cable during installation. It is compatible with all types of floor heating mats and cables.
How it works
It works by conducting real-time testing of the floor heating cable.
If the heating cable insulation or the resistance wire is damaged, the cable monitor will immediately sound an alarm. This will allow the installer to easily repair the heating cable BEFORE the heating system is encased by the floor covering, avoiding costly repairs in the future.
What do the lights mean?
A white light remains lit if the system is working correctly.
A red warning light (with an alarm noise) will immediately light up if cable damage is detected.
How does it connect
There are 3 clips which attach to the heating cable - live, neutral, and earth. The on/off switch powers the device.
