Every heater is tested before it is sent out and is guaranteed to be in good working order on dispatch. Floor Heating Systems Pty Ltd guarantees the products it supplies on the terms set out below.
How long each product is covered
Cover runs from the date of purchase. Your product is treated as free of defects if no defect has been found and reported to us inside the period for that product.
- Under tile heating mats: 25 years
- Dual core slab heating cable: 20 years
- Single core slab heating cable and in screed heating cable: 10 years
- Thermostats: 2 years, which is 24 months
What has to be true for the warranty to apply
All four of these are conditions of the guarantee.
- A competent person installed the product.
- The installation followed the directions we supplied with it.
- The installation met all applicable electrical regulations.
- The heater is connected to an RCD protected supply circuit.
We do not have to be the ones who installed it. A product you bought from us and had installed by your own competent installer is covered on the same terms.
What is not covered
Damage caused during installation by others is not covered.
Damage to a product, or a repair carried out on it by anyone, voids this guarantee. If we then repair that damage, the repair itself cannot be guaranteed, and the work is charged whatever the result.
The guarantee also depends on you following all the safety and operating instructions supplied with the product.
How to make a claim
Claims have to reach us in writing, inside the period for that product. Tell us the full particulars of the fault, and enclose a copy of the invoice as proof of purchase.

What we do about an accepted claim
We settle it in one of two ways, and the choice is ours.
- We repair or replace the defective part without charge.
- We pay you a sum equal to the price paid for that part at the time of purchase.
The limits of this warranty
Our liability to you under this warranty is limited to the amounts described above. We are not liable for any other or additional damages you suffer. That covers damages caused by a defect in the product, in the installation itself, or in any part of it.
We are not liable to compensate you for floor coverings, or for any other item damaged or destroyed as a result of such a defect.
This warranty cannot be transferred
It applies to the person who bought the product. It cannot be passed on to anybody else.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Those rights sit alongside this warranty. Nothing here limits them.
